Business Analyst – Health & Medical Analytics
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst – Health & Medical Analytics to work with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry located in Houston, TX on a 1-year assignment.

Role Overview
This position supports the Health & Medical (H&M) team by leveraging analytics and reporting to drive strategic initiatives and business decisions. The role involves working closely with the Global Business Support Manager to define, design, and develop reports and analytical tools while maintaining strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  Collaborate with the H&M Global Business Support Manager to define and develop reporting/analytical needs that align with the H&M strategy, business plan, and priorities. Demonstrate proficient Business Analyst skills, including requirements gathering and system documentation. Design, develop, and maintain ongoing and ad-hoc metrics, reports, and analyses to support key business decisions. Aggregate data from multiple sources and compile it into actionable formats to enable effective decision-making. Prioritize efforts to address concurrent demands from projects, schedules, and prioritized business initiatives. Develop mechanisms and metrics to track stakeholder satisfaction and improve satisfaction scores. Provide timely reporting on project deliverables, including risks, mitigations, and schedule impacts. Perform data analysis and visualization and develop analytical tools to evaluate trends and support program recommendations. Create and monitor analytical business cases and project plans. Understand customer support requirements and business priorities to offer continual support and enhancements. Support process improvement activities to address inefficiencies or introduce new functions. Maintain familiarity with H&M Global Medical Database systems and other H&M applications. Interact effectively across all levels of the organization, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a health-related field. At least 5 years in an analytics-related field. Experience with health data or metrics supporting business strategic focus areas, data integration and analytics - proven experience in delivering advanced analytic solutions and capabilities and working with a wide range of data tools, e.g. SQL, Access/Excel, JQuery, HTML. Demonstrated depth in analytics and analytics storytelling (e.g., statistics, data analysis, data wrangling). Ability to present data in a variety of formats (pictorial, graphic, verbal) to communicate meaningful insights/recommendations effectively. Demonstrated technical competency in reporting technologies, specifically PowerBI. Demonstrated understanding of business processes, as well as the ability to translate information into reporting specifications. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including chart development and formula development for statistical analysis. Proficient in SharePoint sites - design, development and administration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skilled at organizing and facilitating problem-solving discussions.
