*Hybrid Position - three days a week in New York City Office*

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to support business decision-making. You will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing large volumes of data from various sources. We empower our business partners to leverage data easily, eliminating significant energy typically wasted on data-wrangling.

Duties and responsibilities

Data Collection and Preparation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data from various sources. Develop data pipelines and ensure data quality and consistency for analysis.Develop and maintain an integrated data model and perform a range of analysis to develop and implement dashboards, monitor KPIs, improve analytics, operations and service line delivery.Proactive data exploration and analysis to uncover trends and insights for performance improvement, meet financial performance expectations and to assist portfolio management decision making.Devise and promote creative analytics and data visualization to show thoughtful, fit-for-purpose insights.Supporting business line organizations with all data requirements and develop methods to improve data collection, data cleaning and metric calculation, ensuring the data is accurate and fit for purpose.Respond to ad hoc requests, projects, and other activities as required from account leadership or service line leads.Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and data management.Providing support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in-person.Identifying and diagnosing system issues and determining the root cause of the problem.Working closely with business analytics team to resolve complex technical issues and to develop solutions to recurring problems.Providing training and support to end-users on how to use system applications effectively.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related fieldBackground in programming, statistics, machine learning, data visualization, communication and problem-solvingKnowledge of ETL, data governance principles and industry best practices. Understanding of core concepts involved in data (data quality, usage) and ability to understand how these concepts impact our business.Experience in data analysis and business intelligence tools (Power BI and/or Fabric strongly preferred), scripting languages (e.g. Power Query M Language, DAX, SQL, Python, Spark, R) and supporting tools (e.g. DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit, SQL Management Studio, Tabular Editor).Experience with data mining, cleaning, visualization, and programming languages such as Python, SQL.Sound written and oral communication skills, and the capacity to deal with ambiguity and complex problems.Organizational and time-management skills.Dedication for continuously learningGritty and resilient with a bias for action and like to move fastListening and consultative skills to understand business needs; be able to interpret requirements identify impacts and analyze problems.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

88,000.00 – 110,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
