Business Analyst - Atlanta, GA

Atlanta based Supply Chain and Logistics tech firm seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their dynamic and growing team! The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between clients and the development team, ensuring that their flagship software solutions meet client needs and industry standards. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity working hybrid onsite 2-3 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their transportation management needs and objectives. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed business requirements. Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes and workflows related to transportation and logistics. Identify gaps and areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Agile Documentation: Prepare and maintain user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders. Manage and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals. Solution Design: Work closely with the development team to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Assist in designing solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, development teams, and other stakeholders. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Testing and Validation: Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans and ensure features meet acceptance criteria. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance our software offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Logistics or similar Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in SW Development environment Industry experience in transportation (Truck, Rail and Ocean), logistics, or supply chain industry. Understanding of transportation management processes and logistics operations. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and frameworks including Scrum and Kanban Experience with data analysis tools is a plus API experience is a plus This position is currently located in the Midtown area but will be moving to the Perimeter area in early 2025.
