Responsible for analyzing TAPCO's business processes to develop functional and detailed designs for the TAPSYS system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Collect and analyze end user requirements to develop modifications and updates for TAPSYS.
2. Design detailed workflows to determine the procedural steps required to make necessary system updates.
3. Build system specifications and test plans to ensure all modifications for the Underwriting system work properly prior to implementation.
4. Perform User acceptance testing to ensure the modification or addition meets requirements.
5. Act as liaison between system users and the development team to ensure the appropriate message is communicated.
6. Create, update and maintain all TAPSYS documentation and instructional manuals in conjunction with the System Analyst Manager.
7. Research state and carrier guidelines for system compliance.
8. Support developer in resolution of issues related to project specification or programming.
9. Train Underwriters on new TAPSYS features or procedures.
10. Prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management as needed.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or related field or equivalent work experience
2. Possess in depth knowledge of TAPCO operating procedures and information technology
3. Must knowledge of underwriting process and end user processes
4. Excellent analytical skills
5. Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
6. Strong verbal and written communications skills
7. Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds
8. Ability to work extended hours when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous underwriting experience
