Business Analyst
Description We are in search of a dedicated Business Analyst to join our team, based in Midland, Texas. This role is integral to our operations, serving as a vital liaison between the Accounting business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. The successful candidate will be adept at identifying opportunities for automation within business partners' operations and will be responsible for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Act as a bridge between the Accounting business community and the IT organization to provide effective technical solutions • Maintain close relationships with vendors to address software defects, log enhancement requests, and oversee upgrade/hot fix testing and deployments • Develop a deep understanding of the business unit(s) they support and the IT organization's systems and capabilities • Identify opportunities for automation within business partners' operations and assist in designing business processes • Create comprehensive documentation for new technology • Educate the IT organization on the business direction • Uphold SOX application controls and collaborate closely with the Internal Controls Manager to provide SOX deliverables • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment effectively • Utilize skills in Business Process Functions, Quorum, Microsoft SQL, Spotfire, Sarbanes Oxley effectively. Requirements • Proven experience as a Business Analyst for a minimum of 5 years • Strong knowledge and understanding of Business Process Functions • Proficiency in Quorum software • Advanced skills in Microsoft SQL • Experience with Spotfire software • Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley regulations and compliance • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Strong problem-solving abilities • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
