Complete Description:-
The Business Analyst will perform a wide range of financial and non-financial duties related to agency performance management, day-to-day operations and high priority projects of the IT Strategic Investment Services (SIS) group at the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). The following are main duties of this position:
- Gather requirements, analyze needs, identify risks, propose designs and write documentation of technical and non-technical projects;
- Develop and/or document Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines, and processes;
-Assist with all aspects of agency's Performance Management Cycle including agency performance plan development, status collection, monitoring and reporting;
- Perform strategic business analysis to evaluate (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of IT investments in meeting established goals and objectives;
- Develop life cycle cost analyses of projects performing cost benefit or evaluation of IT investments;
- Identify ways to resolve issues which directly affect the accomplishment of IT investment’s goals and objectives;
-Research and investigate new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations;
-Assist tracking and monitoring the formulation, execution, and analysis of the agency’s budget and spending via various systems, spreadsheets, reports and dashboards;
-Create scripts for training videos of an application or a process;
-Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionalities.
This position will also perform other duties as assigned and has a strong possibility of being extended beyond the current Period of Performance.
