Complete Description:
The Business Analyst will perform a wide range of budgetary, financial and non-financial duties such as agency performance management that are associated with the day-to-day operation and high priority projects of the IT Strategic Investment Services (SIS) team. The incumbent will play a key role in tracking and monitoring the formulation, execution, and analysis of the agency’s budget and spending. Will handle large volume of financial data and perform various detailed financial analysis and reports. One of the priority projects includes gathering and designing the financial and performance management dashboards to provide business intelligence that will improve transparency, accountability and lower cost of government operations. This new initiative in FY2014 will transform how government uses financial and performance management data. End users will have access to data that is presented in context so optimal decisions can be made by transforming data into strategic business goal while monitoring progress throughout the fiscal year. The Business Analyst will prepare the datasets, perform data analysis, help design the dashboards, and gather functional requirements for these dashboards and other tasks associated to this initiative to ensure its success. The Business Analyst will perform other related duties as assigned.
