Will be responsible for ensuring that enterprise architecture policies, guidelines, and objectives are being met. An enterprise-wide perspective is used to evaluate agency information technology project plans for compliance with the overall architecture plan. This includes existing and new technology in all areas of information technology such as platform, operations, network, applications, and security.
Understands enterprise architecture models and explains how they work and provide benefit. Provides technical assistance to SSA information technology staff. Communication and analytical thought become important at this level due to increased data, changing technical and best practices in the industry, and changing situations.
Skills Requirements:
Develop and review functional requirements for assigned projects
Perform application and process research to determine the best solution available or the best alternative to accomplish the goals of assigned projects
Review technical requirements to ensure that the goals of the projects are being met and avoid scope changes
Ensure that project requirements are being managed, tracked and updated properly
Facilitate fit/gap analysis, Enterprise Architecture (EA) related aspects; work with customers to ensure a complete review of the technology against current and changing business processes to ensure the most complete and clear implementation possible.
Identify opportunities to streamline business processes to best leverage EA analysis.
Participate in the development of testing plans and scenarios.
Document workflow and processes.
Excellent communications with stakeholders (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
Firm grasp of the Software development life cycle and EA concepts and functions.
The development of business and/or functional software requirements.
Evaluation of software to meet business needs.
Experience with Relational database systems and tools such as SQL, and SQL query tool(s) such as Oracle SQL Plus.
The ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems, and alternative solutions to others.
Experience in a higher education or government organization working with EA and understanding broad business processes.
