Position Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Business Analyst conducts full lifecycle activities to include requirement analysis and design, develops analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitors performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Position Specific Responsibilities
Collaborates with key stakeholders and report customers to understand their business needs and define, develop, and refine report requirements.Develops reports including layout, table and graph generation, proofing and editing.Ensures accuracy of reports and analyses by developing and implementing test plans.Develops analytic plans and uses system reporting tools to create routine and ad hoc reports.Manages and assures the quality and integrity of databases, data dictionaries, and files used to produce reports and analyses.Produces thorough documentation, consistent with department standards, of all reports and analyses.Assists the team and end users to triage and troubleshoot any issues.Works closely with internal IT staff and external IT vendors.Oversees small and medium-sized projects.Assists the team in the production of routine reports and other departmental deliverables as needed.Aggregates and transforms data to meet the needs of efficient data analysis and reporting.Collaborates with reporting team members to address data-related questions, as well as manage and maintain SharePoint and network shared drives as needed.Works with active directory and GroupID as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related field required.Experience in health care and clinical billing systems preferred.
Skills
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related applications. Proficiency SharePoint and writing SQL queries is preferred. Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance. Is self-motivated and dependable. Must have a high level of integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Strong service oriented attitude a must.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
