**Your role and responsibilities**
As a Business Analyst (BA) you will serve as a liaison between stakeholders in order to define and document business requirements and recommend solutions that deliver value. You will play a significant role on eliciting, analyzing, and validating requirements to enable effective decision-making and ensure successful implementation of business changes for IBM’s clients.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Elicitation and Analysis:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business needs, objectives, and requirements.
* Use techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis to gather information.
* Conduct current state analysis and define the desired future state.
* Manage and prioritize requirements to ensure alignment with business goals.
Change Management and Strategy Analysis:
* Assess the impact of proposed changes and develop strategies for implementation.
* Support organizational readiness and stakeholder adoption of changes.
* Contribute to the development of business cases, including cost-benefit analysis.
Solution Assessment and Validation:
* Evaluate and recommend solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
* Validate solutions to ensure they meet business and stakeholder requirements.
* Support solution implementation and resolve any arising issues.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
* Facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams.
* Document and present findings, requirements, and proposed solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Business Process Improvement:
* Analyze and model business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to redesign processes and implement changes.
* Measure and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
* A minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
* Project experience - participation in end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to implementation and post-deployment support
* Knowledge of operations, regulations and trends in transportation industry (Optional)
* Experience working with logistics platforms such as TMS (Optional)
Core Competencies:
* Excellent communication and writing abilities in English
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Capable of synthesizing information, evaluating options and recommending sound decisions
* Ability to align business analysis efforts with strategic goals and objectives.
* Proficiency in requirements elicitation and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence or similar platforms
* Experience with modelling techniques such as use case diagrams, process flowcharts, data flows etc.
* Knowledge of tools like Miro, Lucidchart or equivalent
* Adept at facilitating workshops, meetings and presentations with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to anticipate challenges and proactitvely address risks.
