Job Summary As the Business Analyst you will be responsible for partnering with users to document their business processes, analyze and document system functionality, analyze how well applications meet business needs, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and document business requirements. You will work with business users to improve their use of existing technology, or implement new technology that ensures defined KPIs and requirements are met. You will be the key player in developing improved processes and data standards making certain data is consistent and users can use the necessary systems effectively and efficiently to perform their jobs. What you'll get from working at The Y: + Membership to the YMCA of Greater Seattle for you and your household + Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance + Retirement with generous employer contributions + Free access to mental health resources + Rapidly-accruing paid time off (PTO) + Discounts on qualifying YMCA of Greater Seattle childcare and day camp programs Hiring Range: $77,970 - $85,000 annually Responsibilities + Analyze and assess current processes and define/document improvements needed (current state/future state/ideal state). + Develop process flows in the form of swim lane diagrams or equivalent workflow mapping techniques. + Develop KPIs, define methods for measuring the KPIs, and lead the before and after measurements of the KPIs to measure improvement. + Implement low-code or no-code solutions using business process management (BPM) tools. + Proactively communicate with all stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements. + Recommend or propose method and procedural changes to systems and processes to effect improvements of efficiency, effectiveness and/or cost. Offer best-practice suggestions based on experience, system capabilities and research. + Use continuous quality improvement/Lean strategies. + Develop data models that support the needs of the business, including the definition of the system of record for each piece of data and data flows between systems to ensure data integrity. + Ensure data integrity and quality. + Create documentation and provide training to business users. + Analyze data and identify trends and insights. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered. + 5 years business analyst or equivalent position. + Ability to document business processes. + Ability to analyze data and create data models based on business needs. + Ability to elicit and analyze reporting requirements. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. + Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. + Experience working with government contracts and private foundations preferred. + Excellent computer skills, including word processing, database, spreadsheet software and web-based applications. + Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful. Preferred Experience: + Lean/Six Sigma, BPM, or BA certifications + Experience working with BPM tools preferred.
