The Company

A global technology consultancy who has a portfolio of resources projects in Australia. As a result of supporting these projects, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join the team.

 

The Job

A Business Analyst (BA) plays a crucial role in the success of an organization by bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. Their primary function is to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, and then help design, implement, and improve processes, products, or systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders (clients, management, users) to understand their needs and document them clearly. Data Analysis: Analyze data trends to support decision-making, identify issues, and recommend solutions. Process Mapping: Develop process models to illustrate existing workflows and suggest improvements. Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design technical solutions that meet business needs. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication. Conduct interviews, workshops and surveys to elicit detailed business requirements from stakeholders. Testing and Validation: Participate in system testing to ensure that developed solutions align with requirements. Reporting: Create detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate analysis and progress to leadership.

 

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a Business Analyst role. Experience in developing Business analysis documents using relevant tools such as JIRA, Confluence. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as excel, SQL, BI tools Knowledge of data management systems (desirable) Knowledge in Release Management & Change management activities
