Business Analyst
Description Robert Half is seeking a Business Analyst to join one of our client's team in the non-profit sector, based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will primarily focus on overseeing financial analysis, collaborating with external vendors and stakeholders, and manage retail, supply chain, and catering projects. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: + Review and analyze financial data, applying business concepts to evaluate and derive actionable insights. + Partner with internal and external professionals to communicate plans and strategies for new locations. + Develop and update a comprehensive business plan for social enterprises to reflect current goals, market conditions, and economic trends. + Lead end-to-end project management for retail and supply chain initiatives, including scope definition, resource allocation, timelines, and risk management. + Develop and maintain detailed project plans ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. + Establish clear milestones, KPIs, and deliverables to track and ensure successful project outcomes. + Collaborate with coffee partners, chefs, and other stakeholders to finalize training programs and menu updates. + Optimize the supply chain process, focusing on inventory control, vendor management, logistics, and distribution. + Partner with suppliers and logistics providers to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. + Ensure timely product deliveries while monitoring transportation strategies and performance metrics. + Facilitate status meetings, provide progress updates, and manage project documentation. + Collaborate with the Café Manager, CEO, and vendors to push projects forward and meet deadlines. Requirements + Strong Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial data, connect it with business goals, and strategize accordingly. + Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing complex projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering quality results. + Supply Chain Knowledge: Deep understanding of inventory management, logistics, and distribution optimization. + Leadership Skills: Experience supervising employees and mentoring teams to foster collaboration and high performance. + Retail or Catering Experience: Background in retail, catering, or hospitality industries is preferred but not required. + Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with expertise in collaborating with external professionals, vendors, and stakeholders. + Financial Analysis: Proficiency in evaluating financials, analyzing metrics, and deriving actionable insights for operational success (Source: SG25 US Finance and Accounting). + Analytical Skills: Ability to assess supply chain performance, interpret retail metrics, and develop business plans for strategic ventures.
