As we continue to innovate and enhance its operations, we are seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to play a crucial role in driving our success. Position Description: As a Business Analyst you will be a key liaison between our business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into actionable solutions. You will leverage your analytical skills and insurance industry knowledge to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and support strategic initiatives. Responsibilities + Requirements Gathering: + Eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders. + Conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business processes and challenges. + Process Analysis and Improvement: + Analyzing existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. + Developing process flow diagrams and other documentation to visualize and communicate process changes. + Data Analysis: + Analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. + Creating reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders. + Systems Analysis: + Collaborating with IT teams to define system requirements and ensure that solutions meet business needs. + Participating in system testing and implementation. + Project Management Support: + Assisting project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects. + Creating and maintaining project documentation. + Insurance Industry Specifics: + Understanding insurance products, regulations, and industry trends. + Analyzing insurance policy data, claims data, and other relevant information. + Supporting the development and implementation of new insurance products and services. Qualifications: + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques. + Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools. + Familiarity with insurance industry concepts and terminology. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred. Education and Certifications + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) preferred. + Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in computer sciences, data analysis, reporting, data management, or technology support, preferably within the insurance industry in Puerto Rico.
