Join a top employer and advance your career. Exciting remote contract opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with our Government client based in Winnipeg. This will be a 6-month term to start, with an expected total duration of 24 months.
The Business Analyst will have a minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical), documenting its business, processes, or systems, and assessing business models or their integration with technology.

ResponsibilitiesRepresent process requirements in process designProvide detailed designs for specific processesSupport GAP analysis of required business processes (at lowest level of detail) to SAP functionalityExecute unit testing for configuration and custom development (for knowledge transfer)Provide support to security, data conversion, batch, and system response time testingProvide initial post-implementation support to end users on the production systemParticipate in solution scoping, planning, and knowledge transfer sessionsParticipate in workshops to ensure all solution gaps are identified and addressedParticipate in solution design activitiesProvide integration requirements for 3rd party and external systemsProvide Master Data inputsReview data conversion approach for objects in scope of the functional areaProvide input to the batch job schedule and parameters to be usedValidate business process design deliverablesDetermine UAT test scriptsProvide input and support for the development of technical architecture deliverablesParticipate in solution testing during Integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Acquire solution knowledge for post-implementation support and ongoing maintenanceReview data definitions and impacts on all modules; engage other leads to resolve conflicts as requiredWork with user communities to understand data requirements and current definitionsSolicit and ensure input from locations/sitesEnsure business requirements (at lowest level of detail) are met by the SAP systemReview and provide feedback to the change management team on communication efforts, change plans, job role definitions, and training materialsOther duties as assigned
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Commerce, or a related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of experience as a Business AnalystMinimum of three (3) years of experience documenting or conducting process re-engineeringMinimum of two (2) years of experience writing use casesStrong communication, consulting, and client relationship skills — able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts to both clients and team members, and negotiate changeProven ability to identify and frame problems, gather necessary information, and integrate it to make timely, thoughtful decisions
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)Accreditation from a Business Analyst professional associationKnowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK)Experience working on SAP projectsExperience working in the Public Sector
