The Role
RedMane has a full-time opportunity for a Business Analyst as we continue to grow our Chicago based practice. As a business analyst, you will work within our project teams, designing and configuring integrated software solutions for customers in a variety of business domains, including Health and Human Services, Utilities, Probation, Higher Education, Healthcare and more.
Our solution offerings include custom design, integrated solutions that leverage third-party software and COTS products, and highly configurable, low code case management solutions that incorporate leading-edge technologies. These include cloud-based mobility, data analytics and visualizations, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. As a business analyst, you will work within our project teams to design solutions within these offerings.
You will also participate in small-scale planning and assessment engagements where you will work closely with our customers to present and document options, recommendations and roadmaps to support their long-term planning and strategy.
As a business analyst, you will work in a collaborative environment where you will play a key role in obtaining requirements from clients, lead and take part in JAD sessions and work with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities of a Business Analyst include:
+ Plan and lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
+ Elicit and document business and functional requirements from project stakeholders.
+ Design and document user interfaces (web, mobile).
+ Design and document system interfaces for integrated solutions. Collaborate with customers and RedMane technical resources to validate solution approach and feasibility.
+ Create functional design documents.
+ Configure solutions that are built upon our SaaS case management platform.
+ Support team members through the development and testing of functional designs
+ Support client team members as they go through user acceptance testing of delivered solutions.
+ Provide status reporting, quality assurance monitoring and ensure adherence to procedures and policies.
Skills & Role Requirements
The Business Analyst will need to have:
+ We are looking for people with aptitude, intelligence and desire.
+ Must have an interest in and willingness to learn diverse technologies.
+ Ability to lead design sessions and workshops with clients to capture functional requirements.
+ Ability to focus on high quality work under pressure.
+ Presentations skills and the ability to conduct design sessions with key stakeholders. Must be able to manage these sessions in a cooperative and controlled manner.
+ Direct and succinct verbal and written communication style with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
+ Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Power Point, Excel and Visio.
+ Experience as a business analyst in projects involving data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and IoT is a plus, but not required.
+ Technical background and/or technical project experience is a plus, but not required.
This includes experience designing and documenting requirements for an integrated solution with interfaces to third-party and external systems.
