Business Analyst Data Product Engineer II
Overview

Are you eager to apply your data and analytics experience to make it easier for others to visualize and model data content across the ArcGIS platform? This is a great opportunity to contribute to Esri’s initiatives to create innovative, global content to address needs and challenges across many business sectors. In this role, you’ll help build our evolving data strategy and shape the design of our next generation data content for ArcGIS products and services.

Responsibilities

Apply creative data analytical approaches to create new derivative and transformative works using AI and other technologies Identify data relationships, trends, and anomalies and develop robust, well-documented scripting workflows to automate data ingestion and transformation Design quality assurance procedures and automated tests to ensure quality of data deliverables Coordinate across teams working with data to identify process gaps and continually improve operational efficiency of data pipelines Serve as a data subject matter expert and point of contact to other Esri internal teams; create customer-facing blogs and technical resources Design, build, and deploy data transformation, automation and reporting solutions (such as reports, dashboards, visualizations) that provide insight to decision makers Assist development teams with integration of data into existing and new software capabilities prior to public release Support and interact with existing customers (internal and external) to improve the value, relevance, and applicability of data content to existing and future ArcGIS users Engage with product management to address customer needs and plan new data offerings for the ArcGIS platform Follow the evolution of AI, analytics and spatial data science to maintain best practices and domain knowledge with fast-evolving technologies Requirements

2+ years of related analysis and spatial data science experience; deep knowledge of advanced AI and data analysis, data structures, data analysis, visualization, QA and location analytics Self-starter with effective time management and organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks working within software release deadlines Superior attention to detail and results-oriented Understanding of data analytics, conflation, QA and management best practices; proven experience working with AI and Python notebooks, cloud processing tools and very large data Able to compose complex analysis and data processing queries and comfortable using ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Notebook with Python, R and other packages Highly experienced using the ArcGIS platform or other geospatial technology for spatial analysis Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills; experienced in communicating complex business workflows to non-technical audiences Ability to think critically about business challenges and willing to ask questions Bachelor's in GIS, computer/data science, AI or related field Recommended Qualifications

Master's in GIS, computer/data science, AI or related field
