The Inova Office of Research (IOR) is seeking a Business Analyst to create and perform analysis on financial and operational data. The successful candidate will support the implementation of improvement plans and new initiatives, and the promotion of sound business analysis and project management principles. Identify, document, measure, monitor, and recommend improvements to automated and non-automated financial/business processes in collaboration with stakeholders, in the core areas of clinical research, federally funded research, and other grant management.

This is a full-time Monday-Friday Hybrid position.

Job Responsibilities:

Assists with the Preparation of timely financial statements that are representative of the Research Service Line results. Coordinates or performs a wide variety of financial, administrative and/or data management activities to support research studies. Ensures that invoices are prepared and sent to Clinical Research Sponsors in a timely and accurate manner as outlines in agreements. Prepares accurate and complete journal entries and account reconciliations. Coordinates and tracks financial aspects of clinical study from project creation to study closure fostering the use of matrix and Oncore. Adheres to accounting principles, regulatory guidelines and Inova policies related to clinical trials.

Qualifications:

 Experience:

Four (4) years’ experience in related field.

Education:

Bachelors Degree – Accounting or Finance preferred.
