Business Analyst II, Placement & Fulfillment, Canada Transportation Services (CTS)
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the CTS (Canada Transportation Services) organization under the Canada Supply Chain & Transportation team (CA SC Trans).

This role will own the analysis, updates, and audits of the entire Canada regionalization mapping, including supporting the design, creation of required data infrastructure and reporting. The following are the areas of focus.

PLACEMENT MAPPING
1. Moon (Mobius Outbound Optimized Network): This will be a new service that will determine the ideal FC (Fulfillment Center) to Last Mile delivery station mapping, to be used for inventory placement services. The analyst will support designing the optimal MOON mappings for Canada, auditing them and creating reporting to ensure they are ideal from a placement standpoint. This will require monitoring current and future outbound network connectivity and last mile carrier coverage to all the last mile FSAs (forward sortation areas). Also, the analyst will support the creation of the data infrastructure that can be used to load the information in the same format that tech teams (SCOT FO and SCOT IPC) requires for their consumption. This mapping will also be used to create the new placement metrics such as ideal FC In-Stock (iFCIS).

2. Mobius (Ideal cost input for placement): The analyst will replicate all the work done by US and EU teams to create the Mobius rate cards for Canada and build supporting dashboards to track accuracy, changes required, and opportunities. The analyst will also build control mechanisms to ensure this is working as expected.

OUTBOUND MAPPING
3. Fulfillment Regionalization Mapping: The analyst will maintain the FC to Customer FSA mapping used by our fulfillment systems to identify demand that should receive incentives to be fulfilled from in-region fulfillment centers. This will require changes before all High Velocity and annual updates to ensure that mapped demand does not exceed FC ship capacity.

4. Promise Regionalization Pillar 2 (Search) and Pillar 3 (Offer Substitution): As CA Retail pilots and scales these experiments, the analyst will own the identification of the impact to outbound placement and shipping distance. Given there will be a dynamic list of ASINs that qualifies for these programs and the will be frequent evolution/ scaling of programs with selection changing, we would need to create a mechanism to track the impact to metrics like Local In-Stock, In-region assignments; and leverage it for CTS forecasting cycles.

This role duties are generally transactional and repetitive in nature. However, the space will be new and it will require increasing amount of judgment, analysis, and ingenuity in a fast and high impact space as these mappings will be consumed by our systems

The successful candidate will be able to influence without formal authority to convince other teams and deliver with limited guidance.

About the team
This team manages programs that are critical to the success of Canadian outbound network and is responsible for supply chain aspects influencing customer experience (speed, DEA, shipment consolidation) and outbound cost.

CA SC Trans manages programs to improve outbound transportation costs, CX (Customer Experience), and carbon foot print by optimizing units per boxes (UPB), inventory placement, and shipping distance; including the in-stock vs fulfillment gap, and the regionalization mappings use for inventory placement, promises, and fulfillment decisions.
