Job Title: Business Analyst II
Job Description

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Requires a bachelor's degree in an area of specialty and 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

ResponsibilitiesProactively identify problems with significant business impact; facilitate analysis to identify problems and opportunities.Define the problem, requirements, analytical approach, design the analytical output, and design for automation.Own the effective communication of metrics and analysis.Consistently own and deliver deep dives in the form of narratives that influence business direction.Effectively manage project resources; create solutions to unexpected obstacles and reallocate resources as necessary.Set long-term vision and direction for team projects.Work with the data engineering team to build the business requirements to evolve the insights and analysis about the Customer Experience.Essential Skills6+ years of proven experience in data analysis, report building, research, or similar work.Proficiency in SQL.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related technical field.Advanced skills and experience with data mining, query development, and visualization tools such as SQL, PL/SQL, Quicksight, Tableau, Statistical Analysis tools, MS Excel, or similar.Experience with gathering business requirements, using industry-standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics, and build reports.Additional Skills & QualificationsAn advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA) is preferred.Experience working with cloud data repository services such as AWS Redshift.Strong knowledge of advanced statistical concepts.Work Environment

Preference is for someone based in the office in Bellevue, WA, near several other supporting team members. Alternatively, virtual candidates based in the Pacific or Mountain time zones are also considered to ensure maximum overlap with team members. The role is fully onsite in Bellevue, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00
