A Typical Day The Business Analyst III's day is rarely predictable, but it's always focused on understanding business needs, bridging the gap between stakeholders and technology teams, and ultimately delivering valuable solutions that drive business success. A typical day for a Business Analyst III is a dynamic blend of collaboration, independent analysis, and problem-solving. As the Business Analyst III, you will elicit, analyze, and document requirements while leveraging project management expertise to drive projects from concept to launch. Strong communication and understanding of business analysis methodologies are essential. The Business Analyst III will: Lead meetings and use a variety of techniques to skillfully elicit and document clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements Analyze gathered information to create detailed business requirements, test scenarios, use cases, process flows, and other project documentation Effectively communicate requirements to development teams and ensure their understanding Participate in user acceptance testing and business validation activities to ensure that solutions meet the defined requirements and business needs Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including business users, technical teams, and senior management Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement effective solutions to keep them on track Continuously cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across different departments Query for ad-hoc data requests Report onsite full-time Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of relevant work experience Moderate skills with SQL database Strong skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint) Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
