Business Analyst - Investments 

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Services Team at Mercer. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

We will count on you to: 

Perform planning to determine the best approach and techniques for analysis activities on projects. 

Support Project Managers with strategy and planning, including managing project scope, timelines, and risks. 

Elicit, analyse, and document requirements using appropriate techniques, ensuring strong stakeholder relationships. 

Conduct gap analysis to determine the impact on business-as-usual processes and prepare business cases for new solutions. 

Manage requirements through the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and adherence to User Centered Design processes. 

What you need to have: 

At least 3 years of experience as a dedicated project manager or 5 years as a business analyst in an Asset Owner or Asset Manager environment. 

Solid understanding of Investments, Custody, Financial Market Data, and various asset classes and instrument types. 

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven stakeholder engagement and management abilities. 

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Teams, Confluence, and Jira. 

What makes you stand out: 

Formal project management qualifications and a degree in a relevant field are preferred but not essential 

Data integration experience and exposure to Unit Pricing systems are highly desirable. 

Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones. 

A sound knowledge of superannuation administration and investment data management systems.
