Role Summary & Role Description

Chief Data Office (CDO) - Global Technology Solutions at State Street has a mandate to govern and report on data health across the enterprise. CDO is rolling out multiple initiatives and operating model changes to execute these initiatives and generate value for our internal and external clients.

We are looking for qualified candidates with experience primarily focused on Master  Data Management use cases, while delivering source data analysis and storyboards to various stakeholders

Work you’ll do:

Requirements Gathering, Analysis and Elicitation for Master/Reference data projects to answer specific business questions about our business unitsDevelop requirements working with various stakeholder groups on Master Data Management use cases like source data profiling , data analysis, incident analysis business data model recommendations etc.Map business data requirements to their sources, and suggest data models for further data consumption and distributionSample/export data from multiple source systems on different technical platforms(via SQL queries)Develop user stories, business and data procedures, source to target mappings, DQ rules and related documentation for the data products being developed.Proactively collaborate with Business stakeholder, IT/data engineering team members, business users and implementation team along the project lifecycle, understanding the impacts that may have on downstream use cases.

Core/Must have skills

Business Data Requirements Analysis from various internal and external data sourcesExperience in Data Transformation requirements from source apps to target Data ModelData querying / SQL experience for sample data collections and analysisSQL experience, querying, stored procedures, views, joins, performance management, etc.Agile SDLC processes for manage and deliver requirements across sprints and releasesExperience in translating business requirement to user stories for developmentWorking knowledge on Jira or similar toolsExcellent communication, articulation and stakeholder management skills

Good to have

Good to have Visio or other design tools to prepare flow diagrams.Analyze a variety of data sources/formats, document required transformations and controls on the data elements to be fit for analytical data lake houseDefine and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.Exposure to Databricks / AWS project experience / ETL tools / projects
