SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst role involves interpreting and analyzing data to help make informed decisions. The business analyst collects, cleans, and organizes data; explores and analyzes data to identify patterns, trends, and insights; communicates findings through reports, visualizations, or presentations to help guide business decisions. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

 

Data Collection & Cleaning  Gathering data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.  Cleaning and organizing data, ensuring that it is accurate, consistent, and ready for analysis. This could involve handling missing values, duplicates, or irrelevant data.  Data Exploration & Analysis  Exploring data to understand patterns, trends, and anomalies. This often involves creating visualization ns (e.g., graphs, charts) to better understand the data.  Analyzing the data to uncover insights, such as customer behavior, market trends, or operational efficiencies.  Applying statistical methods to interpret the data, using tools like Excel, SQL, or programming languages like Python  Reporting & Communication  Communicating the findings in clear, understandable ways to stakeholders (e.g., managers, teams, or clients) through written reports, dashboards, or presentations.  Translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations.  Building & Maintaining Dashboards/Reports  Creating and maintaining dashboards that continuously track key metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs). Tools for this might include Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.  Automating reports to ensure timely delivery of insights.  Predictive Modeling & Advanced Analysis  Building models to predict future trends (e.g., sales forecasts, customer churn, etc.) using statistical or machine learning techniques.  Performing A/B testing and experimentation to optimize business strategies.   Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics  Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed
