Job Title: Business Analyst
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, improve and maintain financial, operational and sales incentive reports, models and dashboards. Assist in transition from Excel/CSV based data sources to SQL and Microsoft Fabric. Build out current Excel based reporting in Power BI. Gain expert level insight into the data flow between all systems to allow for data sharing and integration. Assist UX team with necessary financial/operational reporting needed for Power Apps. Publish periodic financial and operational reports, creating commentary and insight, and reporting on variances, mix, etc. Analyze data for trends, exceptions, and/or opportunities to assist in development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Assist in improving efficiencies through simplifying and/or automating the financial and other reporting process. Work with Management and organizational units to identify and solve business system issues. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process through reporting. Perform various duties and provide input concerning the design and improvement of business systems.Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 4+ years of on the job experience in financial analysis or data analysis resulting in actionable operational reports. Excel: Advanced Excel functions (e.g., Power Query, dynamic arrays, pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.) Power BI: Advanced skills in transforming data and creating, formatting, and managing dashboards, data models, and reports. Must know DAX and M Code. Must be able to implement RLS in reports. SQL and/or MS Fabric: Knowledge of database querying, relational models and management. Must be proficient with Microsoft applications. Must have strong quantitative and analytical abilities. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Compensation Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
