As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

This is a rotational opportunity dependent on the Junior Analyst’s skillset – we seek to tailor work and project opportunities on where you can deliver the most value and get the most out of your co-op term.
The role offers some of the following opportunities:
Working with technical SAP system processes and payment runs. Ensuring a wide range of payment methods (EFT, Cheque, Wire, PAD) are processed and validated in a timely manner. Working closely with the team on payment reporting, ensuring it is accurately reflected and seeking continuous improvement in the process. Working closely with our internal technical teams, with a continuous improvement and process mapping mindset to make your life easier and reduce manual work. Working closely with our FP&A and Treasury groups in reporting cash accurately, developing models for cash forecasting, and working with large data sets. Developing standard operating procedures, understanding finance processes, and flexing your presentation skills in communicating documented processes with your direct colleagues. Coordinating closely with our Accounting & Controls groups on balance sheet reporting improvements (aging reports, PowerBI dashboard improvements, and process mapping). Analyzing problems, understanding complex financial issues, and providing recommendations to management. Various other duties as required.The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and behaviors:
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking abilities. Strong presentation and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio. Demonstrated interest in corporate finance and/or working capital management. Demonstrated interest in developing Power Query, Power BI, data modelling, and coding/automation knowledge is preferred Ability to execute swiftly and with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work independently and coordinate with a team.Education and experience:
