Business Analyst - Workday HCM
Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesYou will be part of the international and highly motivated Human Resources Solutions (HRS) team in our IT organization, Digital Business Services (DBS). As part of the HR Transformation, we will implement Workday as our new HCM solution.
We are growing our team and in this newly created position, you will support implementing the new solution over the coming years. You have the opportunity to join the project right from the start, being part of Design and Configuration workshops, together with our implementation partner. After go-live, your role will develop into the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your respective area.
You will work closely with our business and key stakeholders to understand their needs, define the vision, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact solutions.
For this role we are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Workday Business Analyst who has undergone at least one full Workday implementation or has worked with the solution in recent years.
Your main tasks will include but not be limited to:Be part of the global implementation of Workday Core HCM, including Design & Configuration workshops, aligning with business objectives, strategic priorities, and project timelines. Partner with your respective HR counterparts as well as stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications. You will streamline and optimize global HR processes using Workday. Be responsible for successful and seamless testing and validation for your respective area, together with key users from the business. Deliver trainings during the implementation and successfully train Power Users in the business for day-to-day operations; promote user adoption and system utilization. Act as the Workday SME, overseeing system configurations, security, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards. Manage post-implementation system maintenance, stay ahead of system updates, and implement new features to maximize the system’s capabilities and value. Create and maintain process documentation and training materials. Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring prompt resolution and a seamless user experience. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding business needs to drive adoption and secure buy-in for change initiatives.
What You Need to SucceedExperience: You have already successfully implemented or worked minimum of 3 years with Workday and have excellent knowledge of their solution and methodology; a background in consulting is a strong plus. You have know-how with Workday Core, and ideally “Help” as well as Reporting & Analytics.Technical Skills: You showcase in-depth knowledge of Workday modules and have experience with system configuration and customization. You have a strong IT affinity and are a digital native.Project Management: You have a proven track record of managing large, global projects, ideally in matrix organizations, with strong organizational and project management skills. You have experience with SAFe or other agile methodologies.Problem-Solving: You have a positive can-do attitude and can successfully prioritize. You are a self-starter who works well without much guidance and are very strong at guiding the business. You are a problem solver who sees solutions over problems and proactively suggest ideas and optimization potentials.Analytical Skills: You have the ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions while always staying calm and professional, even in stressful situations.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
