Summary:
The Global Data & Analytics unit offers innovative solutions that provide actionable insights to internal and external business partners and customers that help reduce health costs, improve outcomes, provide financial security and measure/forecast business performance. The National Affordability Initiatives Team drives affordability strategies and measurement of our solutions. This role will provide data and analytics that will enable the team to communicate program results for large national contracts/segments. Person will be responsible for aggregating program results and creating data tools that will enable a business process that provides timely results and reports to key internal and external partners. Initial key focus will be Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy with expanding areas of focus as the role progresses.
Responsibilities:
Support national provider contract negotiations and monitor performance and shifts in trendIdentify/develop targets and related strategies to improve our competitive positionCollaborate with Contracting and local market teams to ensure competitive positioning within the marketplaceIntegrate data from multiple sources and supports/performs complex statistical data analysis to find root causes/opportunitiesAble to think critically and improve processes to optimize resultsFunction well in a fast-paced environment; Learns quickly and is open to changeCommunicate contract performance and opportunities as needed to business partners including National Contracting, Clinical, Local Market, other Network Analytics, etc.Qualifications:
2+ years of financial analysis and planning experience with demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis at macro and micro levelsProficiency with Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau and Databricks to pull and analyze dataStrong technical data skills and strong knowledge of systems, processes and methodologiesStrong communication skills including being comfortable discussing program/segment dynamics and impacts of our national contracts with a wide array of technical and non-technical business partnersAbility to successfully prioritize and manage multiple responsibilitiesAbility to think critically and develop creative solutions/analytics to address complex problemsFamiliarity with concepts in provider reimbursement, fee schedules & contract modeling or the ability to quickly learnExperience in healthcare analytics is preferredThis position can be performed anywhere in the US, however if you are located near a Cigna office, you will be required to work in the office 2/3 days a week.If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
