This position sits within PNC’s Balance Sheet Management function, providing modeling and analytics support to PNC. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s
discretion.
Ideal candidate possesses a Master’s from a STEM-focused curriculum and knowledge of statistical modeling. Preferred degrees include STEM designated economics programs, applied math or statistics, financial engineering, financial mathematics, or other statistically-intensive programs
Responsibilities:
• Deliver financial reporting performance metrics to key internal stakeholders and leadership, including Asset-Liability Management, Balance Sheet Analytics, and Finance and Accounting.
• Perform interest rate risk scenario analysis, for both valuation and earnings, to determine how PNC profitability is impacted by interest rate levels.
• Execute valuation analysis on various balance sheet categories.
• Leverage SQL, Python, Excel, and/or QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) to streamline data analysis and address modeling needs.
• Partner with Model Risk Management and other risk stakeholders in reviewing the validity and reliability of assumptions to identify opportunities for improvement.Job DescriptionLeverages analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and applications for a business function or business unit to create data driven solutions.Recommending appropriate performance measures to be produced including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics.Analyzing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions.Providing business clients with detailed, actionable reports documenting the findings from, data processing, and data analysis.Consulting on using business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitating implementation of new tools and data marts.
