Business Analytics Senior Analyst
Citibank, N.A. seeks a Business Analytics Senior Analyst for its Schaumburg, Illinois location. Duties: Develop and implement effective fraud detection and prevention strategies to mitigate identity theft and application fraud losses. Develop statistical and decision tree models to detect potential fraud applications. Implement model strategy and validate model performance in order to ensure model efficiency. Perform Model Improvement and Rule Optimization. Use data mining and data analysis to identify root cause of elevated fraud activities and find solutions that will enhance fraud control while minimizing customer impact. Build tracking reports to explore model improvement opportunity. Create decision trees to evaluate rule logic optimization feasibility. Implement optimized models with better fraud detection performance, lower referral volume, and better customer experience. Perform Strategy and Model Validation. Leverage Biocatch, ID Scan, Socure and Threat Metrix to build predictive statistical models to detect fraudulent credit card applications. Build model validation reports to ensure model is implemented as expected. Lead the CMT (Change Management Tool) implementation process to guarantee correct model implementation into production. Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills, including SAS, Unix and SQL to collect, analyze, and interpret large credit card application and bureau data. Support large scale projects including testing and deployment of new vendor scores, and development of business cases for new technology. Develop statistical models including logistic regression and decision trees and implement fraud strategy. Validate and evaluate existing vendor fraud scores. Perform Ad-hoc Tracking and Monitoring Analysis. Research and investigate rule logic decks for multiple business cases. Analyze and present findings to fraud policy team on requested fraud review cases. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance or related field and 4 years of progressively responsible experience as a Fraud Analyst, Business Analytics Analyst, or related position working within a large and complex Database Environment. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 6 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. 4 years of experience must include: Developing statistical models; Supervised Data Processing and seasonality time series analysis; Validating model performance for evaluating model efficiency; Supervised machine learning algorithm and Decision tree models; Excel/Spreadsheet Modeling and Analytics; Segmentation and cohort analysis; Unix; Data Normalization and Modularization on SAS; Frequency Distribution Analysis on SQL; Data Preparation and Investigation on Tableau; Statistical Risk score for population Segmentation; Propensity Score Random Sample Matching.
