Citi continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by building out Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a new function in the 1st Line of Defense, to house and consistently manage credit risk activities performed across its Institutional Client Group organization. ICM’s objective is to provide integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, and monitoring for wholesale credit risk across the enterprise. 

The Business Analytics Group Manager is accountable for management of a large and complex Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) area. This position will lead credit risk effort to self-service / automation mode. Additionally, this role requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Excellent Credit Risk and data awareness is a necessity. Accountable for accuracy and stability of Credit Risk metrics and delivery of exposure insight to multiple clients from 1st and 2nd line globally. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of WCR metric output. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

Lead Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) technical strategy, architecture, application design and tools usability; envisioning business purpose for several stakeholders across 1st and 2nd lineDevelop and articulate analytical framework to solve business challenges within WCR area ( i.e. Derivatives, Securities, Lending products)Identify areas for simplification, automation and technology synergies to reduce operational costs and risks.Extract actionable insights based on advanced analysis of credit risk metrics (i.e. Pre-Settlement Exposure, Net Stress Exposure, Sensitivities) and multiple data setsDrive innovative thinking about leveraging new tools/methods to transform the analytical capability of the organizationUnderstand regulatory implications and develop mitigation / opportunity strategiesEnsure robust quantity control in the analytical processes for Derivatives and Securities exposure calculation and dataCross functional leadership (communication and influencing) to drive towards common goalThe incumbent will leverage industry best practices, navigate and leverage internal relationships and become the key point of contact to ensure delivery and adoption

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Credit RiskProject Management experience (proven deliverables required)Experience in Financial ServicesAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines, multiple priorities and tasks or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.Excellent analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of dataExcellent people and relationship management skills with the ability to influence others and foster a sense of collaboration.Ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problemsAn influencer who communicates clearly and frequently to both technical analysts and non-technical business leadersIntellectually curious, consistently seeking and developing new opportunitiesData research experienceExceptional oral communication and writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, and translate into "user-friendly" language for multiple audiences, including senior management.

Education:

Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
