Business Architect – Area Analytics Acceleration

You and your job
We are seeking a motivated Business Architect to lead the Area Analytics Acceleration within the Tribe D&A Products & Transformation. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the target architecture that supports our product vision.
The area collaborates with other Tribes to build advanced analytics products. These products address business challenges, deliver tangible value, and drive analytics innovation. Our portfolio includes a variety of AI solutions, such as Large Language Model solutions (LLM’s) to quickly analyze large amounts of unstructured data, machine learning models to classify Financial Economic Crime (FEC) alerts and a Data-driven Customer Life-cycle Engine which produces high quality sales recommendations to our advisors. Another key capability is process mining, which is used to eliminate waste in processes like business lending and reduce lead times for our customers.
A key challenge in this role is to steer the future direction of our analytics portfolio, ensuring it aligns with business needs while remaining user-friendly and scalable. You will manage the area alongside the Area Lead and Tech Lead, working closely with solution architects to align the area vision, develop architecture strategies and roadmaps, and contribute to our overall purpose. You will guide teams towards achieving the best results within a future-proof architecture, fostering a culture of mutual support and continuous improvement. It's important to have the courage to challenge yourself and your team, learn from mistakes, and grow together.
Practical examples
Develop an architecture roadmap for generative AI building blocks that enables the bank to accelerate use cases and ensures we apply (Gen)AI responsibly throughout the bank
Align with data scientists, business stakeholders, engineers and architects on the vision and target architecture of our benchmarking and pricing machine learning models
Mentor and coach approximately five solution architects within the Area Analytics Acceleration

Your position in the architecture department
The architecture department, with over 100 members, develops, maintains, and enforces Rabobank's IT strategy and architecture to support the bank's long-term goals in commercial, efficiency, and risk areas. We work as one effective team, believing in the power of diversity to make us a better bank. We are eager to see what you can bring to our team. You will be part of the 10-member D&A-architecture team, that sets the architecture direction for the Data & Analytics Products & Transformation and Global Data & Analytics Platform Tribes. We collaborate closely with Solution Architects from Tech4D&A, believing that architecture should be team-owned.
You and your talent

Minimum 7 years working experience in relevant roles of which a minimum of 3 years of architecture experience in a complex analytics environment
Practical experience with the implementation of machine learning models and MLOps
You understand and can explain concepts like generative AI and supervised learning
Ability to communicate technical solutions in business terms, and can influence and persuade others with an open mindset
Practical experience with architecture methods and techniques
You have a helicopter view: overseeing a wide domain and any consequences certain (design) decisions have on both business and IT
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business & IT leaders and colleague architects
You are comfortable in a leading role and can provide coaching and guidance to a team of Solution Architects
