Business Architect PM Lead

HP Solutions is driving multiple Business Transformation Initiatives to build essential foundations in processes, organizational models, and IT systems for our services and software businesses. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Architect to bridge the gap between business strategy and technology or process transformation. This role is pivotal in driving the organization’s digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that solutions across multiple transformation initiatives align with business goals and deliver maximum value. The Transformation Business Architect will work closely with stakeholders across IT teams, process, operations and business units to design and implement technology strategies that enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, and support business growth. 

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an advocate for agility, a strong leader who is passionate about driving transformational programs that influence people, process and data.  

A business architect must have an ability to simplify complexity into understandable concepts, graphics, and narratives – tuned to different audiences.  The ability to simplify, facilitate discussion, and drive decision making is essential. 

This critical role will report to the Lead Business Architect of the Transformation Office.  

NOTE: All roles in the WS Transformation Office must be 100% dedicated to the multi-year Transformation and not sharing tasks with other ongoing operational activities 

 

Key Responsibilities  

Requirements Facilitation: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business needs. Translate requirements into clear specifications. This will require ongoing facilitation with stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements at a level of specificity to be actionable.  This also includes the ability to translate the output of that alignment into clear and understandable requirements documentation. 

Business-Technology Alignment & Roadmap: Develop and maintain the business architecture roadmap aligned with business goals. Identify opportunities for technology-and process- driven innovation and growth. Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize strategic initiatives. This requires ongoing collaboration to ensure requirements stay UpToDate with changing business conditions.  

Business Architecture Design: Lead the design of high-level business architectures aligned with business objectives. Ensure integration of new technology solutions with existing systems and processes. A business architect should be familiar with stanard architectural principles (process and technical) and popular architectural platforms.  

Stakeholder Engagement: Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate architectural decisions and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and drive consensus. 

Project Oversight: Provide architectural oversight for major projects, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. Guide project teams in implementing architectural solutions. Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful delivery. 

Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce architectural governance processes and standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends. 

Leading change: Work with business architects and MoC leads across the transformation program to define and implement change strategies for better user experience.  

Methodologies: Apply design thinking principles for a user-centered approach in problem-solving. Ensure that new capabilities are fully aligned to strategy and do not affect existing ones. Implement agile methodologies across teams. 

Influence without authority: Lead, guide, and impact others' actions and decisions without having any formal power or control over them. 

 

Experience  

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 

10+ years of experience in IT technology, business architecture, enterprise architecture, Software or services industry product management, preferably with end customer product management roles. 

Proven experience in managing large-scale transformation projects with track record of bringing innovation to market to create value for customers in Software and Services End customer products.  

Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and strong understanding of business processes, including how they can be enhanced through technology. Professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, PMP, Agile, Scrum. Lean Sigma) are advantageous. 

 

Knowledge/Skills: 

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems, identify opportunities, and develop effective solutions with user centric mindset. 

Excellent process management skills, with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously while continuously measuring and improving those processes. 

Ability to recognize and leverage local cultures and capabilities to drive innovation and transformation mindset across a large, diverse team. 

Strong leadership with the ability to motivate, coach and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams  

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. 

Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build consensus across the organization to make things happen in a complex, highly matrixed, global company.  

Knowledge of current technology trends, including cloud computing, AI and data analytics.

The base pay range for this role is $136,850 to $198,450 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
