Business Assistant (all genders)

Step into the fast-paced world of investment banking as a Business Assistant. Your expertise will support senior stakeholders and drive business success in the EMEA Currencies & Emerging Markets team.
As a Business Assistant within the EMEA Currencies & Emerging Markets team of the Corporate Investment Bank, you will be responsible for providing high-level support in a dynamic and demanding environment. Your role will be pivotal in managing the schedules of senior stakeholders, safeguarding confidentiality, and maintaining a strong focus on business and client deliverables.

Job responsibilities

Manage advanced, proactive diary scheduling, including meetings and conference calls. Support travel and entertainment bookings, ensuring compliance with policies. Handle internal and external client interactions and coordinate departmental activities. Collaborate with support groups and business management across lines of business. Utilize internal systems for data entry, reporting, and information collation. Oversee distribution lists, technology usage, and administrative tasks. Integrate into the business to understand priorities and expectations. Partner with assistants across lines of business for coverage as needed. Engage in PowerPoint presentations, projects, and training opportunities.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Professional client handling and relationship-building skills. Competency in diary management with good judgment on priorities. Strong executive communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in arranging travel and creating accurate itineraries. Demonstrated proactivity and ownership in the role. High-level technical capabilities. Awareness of expense systems and cost control initiatives. Polished, professional demeanor with the ability to work under pressure. Positive, common-sense approach to managing senior schedules. Flexibility and receptiveness to change. Attention to detail and delivery of high-quality results.
