JOB SUMMARY: 

Responsible for performing a combination of tasks such as accepting packages, letters and objects for shipment in the Business Center while providing excellent customer service.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

Answers inquiries and provides mail services for hotel guests and conventions in a friendly and professional manner Communicates with guests, conventions and other internal departments in professional manner to ensure guests needs are met Sell and collect payment for products such as stamps, cell phone chargers, travel needs and office supplies Operates cash register/computer and effectively handles cash, credit cards, comps and room charge transactions for services and retail products Makes photo copies for guests as requested and charges accurately    Examines mail received by guests for correct postage and/or process shipping services through UPS or FedEx  Weigh letters and parcels, compute mailing costs based on type, weight, and destination, and affix correct postage

 

Provides accurate information regarding pricing and estimate arrival of packages

 

Answers questions regarding shipping regulations and procedures, postage rates, and assist with packing and labeling guests packages for shipping Ensures outgoing business mail reaches property mailroom room at designated times

 

Offers the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with all guests and team members.  Demonstrates respect, sensitivity and concern for guests’ needs in a professional manner. Maintains a clean, safe, stocked and well organized work area.  Notifies management when supplies need to be replenished Assists guests with using computer and printing services, tracks usage and charges guests accordingly May be assigned to work in various retail outlets

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-2 years’ previous retail or office experience.  Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to multi-task while providing excellent customer service Excellent communication skills

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
