Job summary

We are seeking a highly experienced GeoSpatial Sr. Developer with 13 to 15 years of experience in Java and Business Operations. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model primarily during day shifts and will not require travel. This role involves developing and maintaining geospatial applications that support our business operations ensuring high performance and scalability.


Responsibilities

Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Java to support business operations.Ensure high performance and scalability of geospatial applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.Implement best practices for geospatial data processing and management.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to geospatial applications.Optimize application performance and ensure efficient use of resources.Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in geospatial development.Develop and maintain documentation for geospatial applications and processes.Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives.Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Qualifications

Possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Geospatial Science or a related field.Have extensive experience in Java development particularly in geospatial applications.Demonstrate strong knowledge of geospatial data processing and management techniques.Show proficiency in using geospatial libraries and tools such as GeoTools GDAL and PostGIS.Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Have experience with agile development methodologies and tools.Possess strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.Show experience in mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior developers.Have a strong understanding of data security and privacy regulations.Exhibit the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.Demonstrate a proactive approach to optimizing application performance.Show a track record of contributing to the improvement of development processes and tools.
