Business Banking Inside Sales Manager

**Overview:**
Manages the deployment of customer and sales initiatives at all levels within the assigned area, primarily focused on microbusinesses (<$500M in gross annual revenues).
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Leads the implementation of employee training related to sales strategy through direct reports.
+ Lead process improvement initiatives, advising senior management. Design and develop strategic campaigns to best drive results within microbusiness customers while preserving M&T’s premier business banking reputation and positive customer experience
+ Oversees the development of communication and training resources.
+ Leads the development of project plans and directs resources to align with sales strategy needs.
+ Responsible for designing and optimizing sales funnels and processes to grow business relationships – both via inbound lead engagement and outbound outreach efforts – across multiple channels (email, phone, etc.)
+ Coach sales team on strategies and tactics to maximize productivity, overcome objections, and drive sales. Share performance results, learnings, and areas of opportunities to Senior Executives
+ Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
+ Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
+ Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
+ Complete other related duties as assigned
**Scope**
+ Strong understanding of microbusiness segment – both from a needs and solutions standpoint
+ Ability to help design sales campaigns with target metrics and goals.
**Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:**
Supervises a team of 5-10 Inside Sales professionals.
**Education and Experience Required:**
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant experience,
OR in lieu of a degree,
A combined minimum of 9 years higher education and/or work experience including 5 years relevant experience
1 year of Management Experience
**Ideal Qualifications Preferred**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to function professionally at many different levels (clients, management, peers)
+ Deep knowledge of small business banking products
+ Familiarity operating in a “test and learn” environment with strategic pivots, as needed
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $85,104.04 - $141,840.07 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
