Business Banking Loan Workout Collection Specialist
Division: Risk Management Department: Loan Workout Reports to: SVP, Special Assets Manager Status: Non-Exempt Grade: 8 Salary Range: $21.55 - $41.65 Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Location: Hybrid - in office requirements in one of the following hubs: Albany, NY / Springfield, MA Purpose/Objective: Improve asset quality through the collection of a high-risked Business Banking loan portfolio comprised of smaller, less complex loans. Work with management, line of business and administration, in establishing strategies for troubled assets. The portfolio will include both retain and exit accounts from the Business Banking portfolio. Key Accountabilities: + Manages specific Business Banking credits for $10 $250,000 loans with the dual goal of speedy resolution of any issues and maximizing the Banks return. Must be sensitive to maintaining a positive and professional image for the Bank in the marketplace. + In certain instances, the individual will be a liaison between the Bank and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Must have an understanding and knowledge of the SBA policies and practices and how they will impact the loan resolution strategy. + Strong interaction between several lines of business including business banking, retail, consumer, and residential mortgage lending. The individual will be responsible for monitoring delinquency reports as well as developing workout or exit strategies when necessary. + Leads the workout on each assigned deal, recognizes issues quickly and knows how to manage through the issues rather than being managed by the issues, or by other parties to the transaction. + Works closely with Bank counsel (external and internal) to ensure the Bank maximizes recoveries and that all actions preserve the Banks rights. + Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by ones duties.
