Position is responsible for acquiring new small business relationships and proactively deepening the relationships of small business customers with annual revenues equal to or less than $5,000,000.

Responsibilities Focus on acquisition of new small business relationships and retention/deepening of existing relationships Responsible for loan and deposit growth, cash management, and any other product solutions appropriate for the customer base to grow market shareProactively focus on acquisition of new small business relationships and retention/deepening of existing relationships by making a substantial number of outbound calls to service existing clients, to prospect for new ones, to network and to seek referralsAttains an understanding of business operating cycles and the client’s financial needs and strategies in order to promote lending strategies or product solutions to meet those needsDevelop a broad knowledge of bank products and services that results in successfully identifying appropriate opportunities to sell the bank’s productsCompliance with established policies and procedures for commercial lending and follow appropriate controls to prudent behavior which is in compliance with the bank’s risk appetite including loan and credit qualityEffectively manage portfolio to comply with stated goals relative to past dues, non-performing loans, risk rate identification, and collateral and financial statement exception levelsPerform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferably in a business/finance associated major, or relevant job experience Minimum one year of proven sales experience and or progressive small business lending or credit experience or equivalentPractical working knowledge of sales principlesEffective oral and written communication skillsExcellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environmentAbility to work accurately with close attention to detailsProven track record of sales and outside calling skillsAbility to succeed in a fast paced, demanding sales culture with measured routines and goals aimed at new loan and deposit generation, cross sales, customer service and satisfactionProven ability to build and maintain relationships Community Leadership preferred Presentation Skills preferred Strong computer skills preferred Experience with small business lending risk analysis preferredDeveloped an understanding of lending and credit approval process as well as pertinent bank policies and external regulations preferredPrior experience with products and services offered by financial services institutions preferredAbility to understand core business products and services preferred Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
