Business Banking Sales Manager
Job Purpose & Scope This position leads a team of sales professionals to drive business growth through the acquisition of new business clients and the expansion of existing Business Banking client relationships. Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team to ensure that Business Banking sales goals are met or exceeded. Your strong credit acumen and ability to drive sales and relationship management will be an asset to Bank OZK. Essential Job Functions Lead, motivate, and develop a team of business banking sales professionals. Provide coaching, guidance, and training to team members to help them achieve their sales targets. Utilize strong credit acumen to assess potential loans and risk. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive business growth and increase market share by expanding the customer base and drive revenue growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners. Set clear goals and expectations for the team and monitor performance regularly Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices. Develop and implement strategies to expand the client base and increase revenue. Ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction to foster long-term relationships. Evaluate sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed. Hiring, onboarding, leading, and educating Business Banking Relationship Managers. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in performance of all essential job functions. Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of the merchant services market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and team building skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results. Ability to demonstrate effective skills to drive growth and innovation. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels. Ability to demonstrate effective strategic, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide exceptional customer experiences while driving growth. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of integrity and commitment to uphold the Bank's values, culture, and reputation. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, working with both exacting deadlines and shifting demands, unforeseen events, and changing priorities. Ability to demonstrate initiative and be proactive in accomplishing work tasks and objectives. Ability to travel overnight, as needed. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in business banking sales and client relations, required. Proven experience in business banking with a strong credit acumen and a track record of achieving sales targets, required. Two (2) years in a leadership or management role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, required.
