Job Description:

Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and monitors business continuity and emergency management programs using critical thinking and technology. Serves as a strategic partner and liaison with internal and external partners as a subject matter expert and influencer. Collaborates to prepare for, respond and manage emergencies and disasters impacting the organization.

Principle Responsibilities

Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and monitors emergency management and business continuity programs in accordance with regulatory requirements.Develops and maintains policies and procedures.Facilitates compliance with regulatory requirements.Develops and presents education, including designing and facilitating drills and exercises.Tracks and monitors data elements using critical thinking and technology to evaluate program effectiveness and prepares reports to summarize results.Leads and participates in multi-disciplinary committees and workgroups.Serves as a liaison for business continuity and emergency preparedness systemwide and with external partners.Serves as a strategic partner.Consults, influences, and seeks to understand as a subject matter expert.Collaborates with Enterprise Crisis Management team to provide systemwide coverage to respond to and manage emergencies and disasters impacting the organization.Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Emergency Preparedness, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Community/Public Health, Social Work, Project Management, Education or related field within 3 years of hire2 years in emergency preparedness, business continuity, healthcare, public health, safety, project management or related field


Licenses/Certifications

FEMA 100 – Introduction to Incident Command System required within 1 year of hire through FEMA Management Institute preferredFEMA 200 – ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents FEMA 100 – Introduction to Incident Command System required within 1 year of hire through FEMA Management Institute preferredFEMA 700 – National Incident Management System Introduction FEMA 100 – Introduction to Incident Command System required within 1 year of hire through FEMA Management Institute preferredFEMA 300 – Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents FEMA 100 – Introduction to Incident Command System required within 2 years of hire through FEMA Management Institute preferredFEMA 400 – Advanced ICS FEMA 100 – Introduction to Incident Command System required within 2 years of hire through FEMA Management Institute preferredValid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment

Pay Range

Pay Range: $45.40 to $62.82 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
