Responsibilities

As a Business Control Specialist within our Global Payments Solutions business, you will be key supporting the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support regional Global Payments Solutions (GPS) and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Responsibilities include:

Support regional GPS business identify, document and maintain processes to ensure a consistent GPS Single Process Inventory (SPI) as guided by the Process Management Policies and Standards. 

Facilitate discussion, assist with design and implementation of GPS’s process inventory adequacy, appropriateness, and management.

Develop and maintain process maps.

Develop and manage strong relationships with the GPS product team, GPS Business Controls, and GC&OR partners ensuring partnership on all deliverables.

Understand and document the risks inherent to processes and partner to establish and maintain controls for risks and metric measurements of the effectiveness of the controls.

Support implementation of changes driven by evolution of process management policy and standards along with reporting on implementation status.

Provide ongoing support to owners of processes i.e. Process Owners in the accurate documentation of SPI processes, risks, controls, and metrics in the system of record e.g. Process Owner Portal (POP) and ORCIT - Key Measures.

Support regional SPI reporting reqiurements for Global Payment Solutions.

Assist regional GPS business Process Owners by facilitating SPI meetings and information sharing between key stakeholders, business control partners and Global Compliance & Operational Risk (GC&OR).

Work closely with the GPS Business Controls Team to support business segments in SPI remediations/initiatives.

Review Compliance partner challenges following review of business processes and facilitate resolution with facts and data-based analysis, within defined SLAs.

Support senior leadership’s periodic review and attestation of the completeness and accuracy of GPS’s process inventory.

Help with governance materials, reporting and other presentations, as and when required.

What we are looking for

Business Control or Front Line Unit experience in supporting the Risk Framework.

Knowledge in Process and Control design, Process Mapping e.g., VISIO and understanding of metrics to monitor controls.

Understanding of governing Laws, Rules, and Regulations.

Ability to quickly understand Policies/Standards e.g. Process Management Risk Standard, Global Compliance and Operational Risk Metrics - Enterprise Policy, Product Standards.

Able to learn new systems quickly, advantageous knowledge of the Single Process Inventory (SPI), Process Owner Portal (POP), and ORCIT - Key Measures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Ability to communicate (written and verbal) with internal and external partners.

Proven analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task, set goals/prioritise and meet deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Detail oriented with analytical, process, and organisational skills.

Able to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Adapts to a dynamic work environment with multiple priorities.

Project Management skills beneficial.
