What you will do

At Volvo Group Australia you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. 

 

As a Business Controller, you will serve as a trusted Business Partner to the assigned BA/BU, playing an integral role in its financial management. You will be responsible for preparing monthly analysis and performance follow-ups, ensuring that financial performance is closely monitored. Additionally, you will provide management information, business control support, and strategic advice to the Executive Leadership of the assigned BA/BU. A key aspect of your role will be the preparation, development, and delivery of the annual financial Business Plan and quarterly Estimates. Furthermore, you will lead the Risk Assessment for the assigned BA/BU Risk Portfolio, ensuring that potential risks are effectively identified and managed.

 

Key responsibilities:

Lead business analysis and performance follow-up and prepare management reports for assigned BA/BU Lead estimate process for your assigned area Prepare information for Price Management follow up and lead the Gross Profit Analysis Engage actively in the month end process and produce deviation analysis and early warning reports Ensure the integrity of all financial data utilized within the assigned BA/BU execution plan / performance follow up Prepare and maintain calculations for various Volvo Group Incentive schemes for review Ensure Governance is adhered to for all relevant requirements of assigned BA Provide advice on financial performance and follow up actions to Executive Leadership Team Contribute to Management Team Meeting for your assigned area. Lead preparations for Business Review Meetings for your assigned area Drive continuous improvements in Business Control processes Contribute to process improvements in your assigned area Lead the capital expenditure process for your assigned area Provide financial support and guidance in the business decision making for your assigned area Ensure compliance to internal control framework Provide monthly analysis an explanation of deviations to Business Plan and Estimates Assist CFO and Business Control Manager with ad-hoc Projects as required. Qualified CPA/CA (or currently studying towards) Qualifications in Business/Accounting Experience in management accounting disciplines gained in similar role within the Commercial/ Retail business environment Strong analytical and leadership ability Able to work with tight deadlines and manage workflow with minimal supervision High level to advance in computer modelling, excel and SAP Excellent communication skills What’s in it for you?
