What You'll Do

You will play a pivotal role in driving business insights and supporting the Consulting Team throughout the project cycle by integrating operational activities and analyses on project management, pipeline, and investments. Acting as a strategic Business Partner, you will work closely with local Officers, Managing Directors & Partners (MDPs), and the broader Leadership Team. Your primary responsibilities include analyzing business trends, managing key financial metrics, and providing crucial support in reporting processes.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance Directors, Practice Area Leaders, and Global Services, to ensure seamless execution of financial operations and alignment with organizational goals.

 

You are good at:

Preparing detailed monthly business performance updates and delivering comprehensive analysis for Leadership Team, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making;Monitoring projects’ economics, forecasting, and managing the lead-to-cash cycle through operational tasks, including budget vs. actual variance analysis and AR/WIP management, supporting Sr. Consulting Team with project management;Supporting pricing and investment-related activities for client projects and preparing detailed investment usage reports;Coordinating pipeline management, ensuring accuracy in staffing verification, proposal validation, and project conversions;Building and maintaining Excel-based operational and financial models to support routine and ad-hoc analyses;Ensuring accurate timesheet, expense, and transactional data recording, performing corrections and adjustments as needed;Maintaining reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates for decision-making;Acting proactively on urgent matters, managing time-sensitive tasks, and addressing complex financial processes efficiently.

What You'll Bring

At least 3–4 years of prior experience in a professional services firm environment (preferably a multinational company) in a Business Controller or similar role;University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance;Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in Italian and English;Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and SAP proficiency will be considered a plus;Strong analytical mindset with a strategic and proactive approach;Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and handle stressful situations;Integrity in managing confidential information and materials appropriately;Team-oriented and cooperative approach, with a focus on fostering collaborative relationships across diverse teams;Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Who You'll Work With

You will be working within the Finance department of BCG Italy, responsible for preserving the intellectual capital, assets, and integrity of BCG. This team makes a decisive impact on the firm’s direction, performance, and risk-management models. Finance jobs include accounting and reporting, planning and analysis, tax and treasury, financial systems, payroll, and executive compensation.
