Stu dent Aff airs Finance provides financial support to the departments within the Division of Stu dent Aff airs . This position will work specifically in the Stu dent Activities. What we want
The Business Coordinator I provides staff support and coordination of a variety of business activities requiring independent judgment, including reviewing business documents and assisting in developing, monitoring, and reporting accounts and budget data.
What you need to know
Salary: $45,000 - $47,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Degree and/or professional certification in business, accounting or other related field.
+ Experience in managing business operations and supervisory experience.
+ Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, FAMIS accounting system, AggieBuy purchasing system, Concur travel system, Canopy, CitiDirect, Marketplace, and iPayments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
+ Planning and organizational skills.
Other Requirements and Factors
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
+ This position is security sensitive.
+ This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures.
+ All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements.
Essential Duties/Tasks:
Account Reconciliation Support
+ Compiles reports and supporting documentation for all departmental accounts to be reviewed monthly in compliance with University Rules and Regulations and internal procedures.
+ Communicates areas of concerns related to monthly reconciliations to Business Administrator II.
+ Takes corrective action with regard to deficit accounts as directed.
AR/AP Support
+ Administers designated payment cards.
+ Reviews and prepares payment card expense reports.
+ Reviews and prepares requisitions and invoices for processing.
+ Makes recommendations to business staff on needed expense corrections.
+ Performs internal audits as directed.
SOFC Support
+ Reconciles SOFC accounts on a monthly basis.
+ Assists with SOFC processes as needed.
Area Support - Travel
+ Monitors travel for compliance with university travel regulations and provides guidance when needed.
+ Assists with maintenance of staff professional development allocations.
