Required Education and Experience + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Three years of related experience in general office, accounting, or personnel operations. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with TAMU Platforms: IPayments, Aggiebuy, FAMIS, Maestro, Concur, Compass; knowledge of TAMUS Policy and Procedures. + This position is security sensitive. + This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures. + All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and University safety requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. + Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding. + Ability to apply rules and regulations in a complex environment. Essential Tasks and Duties: Accounts Receivable + Create invoices and interdepartmental transfers for external and internal customers and monitors to ensure timely payments. + Create and process DBRs for Fund Balance transfers as needed. + Develop procedures, and guidelines for accounts receivable operations. + Serve as a liaison with the Departmental Accounting Services, Office of Cost Analysis, TAMU Sales and Receivables, and Contract Administration. + Maintain records of direct operating costs, overhead costs, revenues, billings, collections, and surpluses/deficits for the service department. + Collaborate with the TAMU Office of Cost Analysis and Chemistry Service Centers to complete annual or biennial rate studies in compliance with System Regulation 21.01.05, Section 6. + Route contract documents via Aggiebuy. Account Reconciliations and Corrections + Reconcile accounts and complete monthly verifications on TAMU and Foundation accounts. + Audit accounting and financial documents, research discrepancies. + Prepare DCRs (Document Change Requests) as appropriate. + Process Foundation transfers. + Deposit checks and reconcile check log. Purchasing and Accounts Payable + Process AR invoices in Aggiebuy. + Serve as a backup for accounts payable and purchasing staff as needed. Why Texas A&M University?
