A large state university is looking for a BSA to help with a large ERP Implementation. This system will replace of their legacy applications related to student information. They are looking for a BSA to specifically help with the Data Migration workstream from legacy applications into the new ERP System
This person is being brought on to
· Migrate student information data from various source systems into a single new source of truth (TSS).
· Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness during and after the migration process.
· Identify and address discrepancies or data quality issues prior to migration.
· Validate the converted data against source records to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
· Data mapping between the various source systems and TSS
· Extraction, and transformation of data.
· Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment of business logic, student information system configuration, and conversion logic.
· Data quality assessment and cleanup.
· Testing and validation of migrated data.
· Documentation of the data conversion process and results.
· Translate business and configuration requirements of target student information system into technical data requirements
· Create process flow and system diagrams describing data processes
· Identify required unit tests based on current and target systems, write SQL tests, perform and track unit testing
· Create and maintain a variety of documentation in Confluence
· Create and maintain mapping specifications for business fields, including table, field, and transformation mappings
· Working with subject matter experts, identify logic to extract and transform data into the desired format
· Perform data analysis across varying sources
They will be expected to:
· Create Data Mapping Documents: Outlines mapping between the source and target systems.
· Create SQL Scripts/Processes: Developed to extraction, transformation data according to specifications
· Do Data Quality Review: Highlights issues identified during the initial data analysis.
· Do Conversion Test Cases and Results: Verification of migrated data accuracy.
· Ensure All data is successfully migrated into the [Target System] without loss or corruption.
· Ensure Data conforms to predefined quality metrics.
· Ensure Migration deliverables are approved by key stakeholders.
