The Business Data Analyst will work closely with the Senior Data Engineer and Salesforce Functional Analysts to support the full data lifecycle within our client’s Salesforce database, known as Compass. They will be responsible for data wrangling, helping develop requirements for analytics and reporting features, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data flows into Salesforce. This role will also include creating and maintaining reports and dashboards, as well as performing data analysis to help inform business decisions.

Data Wrangling & Data Management: Cleanse, transform, and structure data from various sources for integration into Salesforce (Compass). Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and aligned with business needs.Requirements Development: Assist in gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for the development of data-driven features and reports in Salesforce.Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations within Salesforce, ensuring they meet the needs of business stakeholders.Data Quality Assurance: Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, working with technical teams to ensure accurate reporting and analytics.Data Analysis: Perform ad-hoc and regular data analysis to uncover insights and trends, providing actionable recommendations to improve business processes and decision-making.Documentation: Responsible for writing both technical tickets and knowledge sharing documentation. Document data processes, reporting structures, and analysis methodologies to ensure best practices are followed and knowledge is shared across teams.Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of total experience.Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.3-5 years of experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, or another data-heavy role.Strong experience with databases (SQL, relational databases, etc.).Proficiency in data wrangling techniques and tools (Excel, SQL, R, Python, or data integration tools).Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce Reports & Dashboards).Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data accuracy and quality.Ability to support the development of business requirements and collaborate with developers to ensure successful implementation.Preferred
Experience working in a Salesforce development environment (Compass or similar).Familiarity with Salesforce reporting and analytics features (e.g., Reports, Dashboards, Einstein Analytics).Experience with ETL processes and tools.Knowledge of Agile methodologies or project management frameworks.Familiarity with advanced data analysis techniques and statistical tools (R, Python, etc.).Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies.Understanding of an experience with the implementation of DevSecOps. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $140,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
