Business Development Director
**A Snapshot of Your Day** As a Business Development Director for the Petrochemical and Chemical industries at Siemens Energy, your day will focus on developing and implementing market entry strategies for our compression products, especially in decarbonization projects. You'll identify and target key project companies in new and existing markets to expand our customer base and meet strategic goals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and industry influencers, will be essential for long-term business opportunities. You'll establish and manage strategic partnerships to enhance our product offerings and market presence, particularly in decarbonization. Tailoring our compression solutions to meet market-specific needs, you'll effectively communicate their unique value to potential customers. Proactively identifying emerging opportunities for our compression technology will position Siemens Energy as a leader in innovative, sustainable solutions. Early engagement with customers and internal teams will be key to influencing project directions from the start. Additionally, you'll analyze factors driving Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) in select markets to take a focused and strategic approach to business development. By bringing insights from specific markets, you'll drive innovation in our compression offerings to meet evolving customer needs and market demands. Your expertise will significantly impact Siemens Energy's growth and success in the Petrochemical and Chemical industries, particularly in advancing decarbonization efforts. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Develop and implement market entry strategies for successful launches and sustainable growth of compression products. + Identify and target key project companies in new and existing markets to expand the customer base and meet strategic objectives. + Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, lenders, governmental agencies, and industry influencers. + Establish and manage strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings and increase market presence. + Tailor compression solutions to meet market-specific needs, effectively communicating the unique value proposition to potential customers. + Proactively identify emerging opportunities and analyze factors driving Final Investment Decisions (FIDs) to drive innovation and position the company as a leader in innovative solutions. **What You Bring** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent higher degree preferred. + Minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in project companies, with a track record of driving projects to Final Investment Decision (FID) and a focus on innovation. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level. + Deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and commercial structures, with experience in contract management, negotiation, and decision-making. + Strong critical thinking and ability to develop and implement plans that drive business growth. + Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving performance. + Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels. **About the Team** Our **Transformation of Industry** division is decarbonizing the industrial sector.
