Business Development Director - Property and Casualty
**PRIMARY PURPOSE** : Revenue growth of key accounts, new business development and promotion of the Sedgwick organization/brand (primarily but not limited to the property, casualty, auto and marine markets)
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Identifies, develops, grows and maintains client relationships/partnerships
+ Brokers, agents, risk managers, MGA’s, MGU’s, TPA’s and similar accounts as directed
+ Facilitates the development of new partnerships and the company; remains involved in the implementation process ensuring a smooth transition of new client programs.
+ Develops the detailed knowledge of individual prospect operations targeting specific needs which may be opportunities for marketing company programs.
+ Utilizes the appropriate national resources to facilitate responses and pricing for RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
+ Collaborates on the design of service programs ensuring client need fulfillment.
+ Develops and implements an annual sales and service plan including identification of potential client prospects, their needs, and the methodology of presenting company's ability to fulfill those needs.
+ Represents company at industry association meetings and trade shows to promote product.
+ Acts as liaison between sales and other departments bringing in appropriate SME’s to assist in closing new deals
+ Account management including but not limited to contract renewals, pricing, stewardship meetings and overall success of the relationship
**ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Supports the organization's quality program(s).
+ Assist operations as needed
+ Travels as needed
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education & Licensing**
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
**Experience**
Five (5) years of experience in the claim outsourcing relationship building or risk management area or equivalent combination of education and experience required. *Special consideration given to those with experience in the insurance broker market
**Skills & Knowledge**
+ Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
+ PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
+ Excellent negotiation skills
+ Analytical and interpretive skills
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a plus

+ Be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
+ Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
+ Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day.
+ Must have continual use of manual dexterity.
